Future Events, Save the Date The CDIC plans 3 additional events September-December 2024 and announced events for early 2025 (press releases, advertisements, social media, direct mailings and features in CMAB Processors Newsletter). A meeting of the Program Committee of the Dairy Products Process & Packaging Innovation Conference (February 18-20, 2025) was organized and program of the conference outlined.

Attracting New Workforce

2024 Internships In 2024, CDIC is actively involved with several California processors seeking to hire interns from partner academic institutions, arranging meetings with faculty, food science clubs and individual faculty. CDIC staff serves in a networking capacity, receiving resumes of suitable candidates, and helping California processors identify students who match their needs. CDIC will also assist the CCOA in promoting its internship program to the university network.

Strengthening Academic Institutions and Networking

Participation at California Creamery Operators Association Meeting CDIC and CMAB representatives participated in the Annual meeting of the CCOA, South Lake Taho, June 24- 25, and presented on the topic of “Real California Innovation.”
