In addition to helping perspective brand marketers and processors, we have connected with retail partners who we have strong relations with to drive sales and expand their current dairy offerings. Albertsons Own Brands team has been interested in expanding their current offerings in Novelties, Yogurts, and Cheeses. In late July, Ben along with Next Notions aka Amazing Ice Cream visited Northern California Albertsons Own Brands Headquarters to pitch The Cookie Wild to the group as a private label opportunity. The team loved the innovative crunchy cookie ice cream and are looking to extend their Signature Select Moose Tracks Ice Cream into the cookie sandwich and launch it in 2025. Product development has been initiated. Additionally, the CMAB have been in ongoing discussions with Safeway Nor Cal Division to drive sales in dairy and canned fruit/veg through retail promotions and social media including one with Pacific Coast Producers. Facebook Live Stream with their in-house nutritionist featuring 3 recipes utilizing canned peaches, canned fire roasted tomatoes, cottage cheese and heavy cream. The Albertsons Own Brands E-Com team is also interested in creating a Real California Milk Sustainability landing page for safeway.com for users to find RCM items within their local stores telling the story about sustainable dairy. We anticipate this to roll out by summer of 2024. In addition to Safeway’s growing involvement, The Save Mart Companies (Save Mart, Lucky, Lucky California and Food Maxx) have expressed interest in expanding their butter selection along with yogurt and frozen novelties.
