New Inspector – Steve McGinnis Jim Conley recently retired and did a wonderful job for the CMAB as a plant inspector in Los Banos, Tipton and SLO areas. We thank Jim for his services. We have hired Steve McGinnis who comes to us with 27 years as Food Safety Supervisor with the CDFA and a wealth of experience (22yrs) with expanding Dairy manufacturing plants. Steve also has international experience and worked on the NCIMS (National Conference of Interstate Milk Shipments). Dairy Category Performance Impacted by Inflation Dairy products pricing remains high across most categories however we are seeing signs of improvement in Q4. Volume across most dairy products saw declines in 2022 however two categories in particular realized positive growth: Whipping Cream was up +4.4% and Frozen Novelties increased +1% for the year. Cream and Cheese are trending towards flat line with sights to positive growth in the upcoming months.
