● Club / Retail / E Commerce: 1) Cheddar and Calico slices have a robust sales performance both on the shelves and in the Sam’s Café. 2) R&D project initiated with Hi-chain on the application of Cal cheese shreds on crab leg for the final product to be launched in all the 430 stores of Hema Fresh and their online channels. Hema Fresh has clearly refused the use of Anchor cheese. 3) 2 SKUs of the Challenge quartered butter have been launched into both online (Tmall.com) and offline (premium retail chains in northern China) channels. They will also be launched on JD.com and Meituan.com in the following two months for more distribution. 4) A manufacturer client has confirmed to use the cheddar slices from GTK in the burger with an estimate of 12 MT each month to start with. ● MG: Meet with the R&D director of MG. According to Jack, they are developing an ice cream project, looking for ice cream supplier and manufacturer that could incorporate their cheese into ice cream mix and produce both soft serve and retail-pack. The retail pack one would be distributed to all their retail network and the soft serve will go to over 500 key HRI distributors. CMAB China has shared the lead with Scott Brothers. MG also has a specialty cheese box project. CMAB China has provided samples from Fiscalini, Vintage, Sierra Nevada, Point Reyes and Cheese Bits for their consideration. ● YD: YD reported good communication with Leprino and Hilmar on Mozzarella and Cheddar blocks and thus their chairman plans to visit California in early April to meet with processors. They are also interested in the butter from CDI. Eric mentioned that they are also further expanding their dairy retail stores with over 2,032 outlets now. Thus they are looking for specialty cheese and cheese for kids with special interests in Fiscalini, Oakdale, Marin French and Los Altos, would like to schedule a meeting with these processors during the trip. ● GF: In addition to the cheese cubes, GF also expressed interests in the string cheese and cheese slices, both 40ft container load every other month. Ben is helping contact Go Brands to discuss the cooperation. ● BD: According to Tony, they now trade about 3,500 MT of 25kg unsalted butter from EU, New Zealand and South America. As the market price of U.S. butter is good, they are interested in exploring the opportunity and achieve cooperation with CDI. SUPPORT NEEDED & ACTIVITY PLAN ● CMAB participated in the promotional event on Sam’s Club App with cheese slice and butter spread. Guest chef from Sam’s Club used the products to develop recipes and produce the demo video, posted by the Sam’s Club official account with sales link to the product. Daily sales broke the record to reach over 1,400 units while Cheddar slices and Butter Spread also witnessed growth to over 500 units and 650 sets daily.
