2024 - 2028 CDRF Strategic Plan

COMPANY OVERVIEW CDRF operates under the governance of a Board of Directors representing diverse perspectives within the dairy industry. The Board provides leadership and oversight over the activities of CDRF, setting policy and approving budgets. The day-to-day operations are carried out by the CDRF management team. To enhance its effectiveness, CDRF utilizes a series of carefully developed advisory committees focused on environmental management, social responsibility, and human health and nutrition. Committees convene annually and as needed and include a wide cross-section of industry and academic subject matter experts. The meetings are structured to discuss priority issues within the topic area, identify knowledge gaps, leverage opportunities for co funding and collaboration, and mitigate duplication. Committee insights play a crucial role in informing, updating, and refining CDRF’s annual research plan. Program goals are implemented through close collaboration with key marketing, research and extension, and strategic communication partnerships with California dairy organizations.
