2023 CDIC/CMAB Student teams continue work on projects, advance to regional and national competitions.
The “Mighty Smooth” student team at Fresno State received 2 nd place for its kefir smoothie, and
is eligible to participate to the state-wide entrepreneurship contest. The “ Sunstone
Innovation Challenge ” is an annual California campus- wide business plan competition. Chapman’s UHT Dairy Beverage “Spice of Life” to compete in National IFT Competition, July 2024 The product was created by Chapman University students as part of the CDIC/CMAB student entrepreneurship program . The vanilla chai “Spice of Life” wellness shot is a UF milk-based, shelf stable product which delivers 5 g of protein and focuses on mental health. Product development for the product was funded by CDIC as part of the student entrepreneurship program supported by DMI. Students were selected as finalists during the Southern California IFT competition, March 12.
2023 Student Teams continue product development efforts. CDIC supports finalists of 2023 product competitions by providing technical support, scale up trials at pilot plant and product testing toward launch.
MOO-VE – a milk permeate based hydration and refreshment beverage. Product trials in progress at CalPoly.
KRATOS – a drinking yogurt for athletes. Presentation to industry. Consumer testing in progress.
