Arbo’s Cheese Dips - Finalist from the 2023 Excelerator Competition is seeing CMAB’s help in formulating a cheese sauce/dip using real California cheese. Processor partnerships is working with Pacific Cheese and the current cheese sauce plant (located in Memphis, TN) to formulate a “California Style Cheddar Sauce” for Arbo’s. Formulation and product development is still a work in progress. This unique formulation could be a solution for food service and retailers seeking a product that performs like American cheese, but contain real cheese in the recipe. Milk Specialties Global (MSG) and Processor Partnerships have been discussing ways to engage more brand marketers who use MSG for powder milk or protein powder products. We are exploring being able to use the RCM on products that have not qualified before due to the 100% CA Milk requirements. MSG is headquartered in Aden Prairie, MN and has 8 processing facilities across WI, MN, CA, and ID for human nutrition, and 4 processing plants across IL and WI for animal nutrition products. Maven’s Creamery – Based out of San Jose, CA will be expanding their viral Durian Ice Cream internationally to all Costco’s in Taiwan. They have added the RCM on pack that will hit retail shelves in May/June 2024. Travis Cano joins the CMAB Processor Partnerships Team (replacing Emily Bass who held the position for the last 3yrs). Travis held a variety of supply chain operation positions at Safeway/Albertsons where he spent 16 years leading company initiatives. Travis’ background is impressive with experience across different functions including procurement, supply chain strategies, eCommerce, merchandising, and labor planning. Travis also led business ventures initiatives where he seeked and evaluated startups to invest in and help grow, on behalf of the company. His most recent stop was with Shipt (Target’s version of InstaCart) where he led shopper pay policies and initiatives. Travis’ experience and knowledge in retail will offer another level of support for our processors. We are excited to have Travis join our team! New Processor Partnerships Manager
