Voyager Milk sources the milk powder from Organic West and the product is packed in Utah. Our team is working closely with Basel Nassar, their CEO to provide the marketing support needed when the new labels hit the shelves in summer 2024. Santini Foods, based out of San Leandro, CA are processors of canned condensed milks recently produced a lot code of products with a black grease on the inside of the lid. Consumers have been calling and reporting their concerns through the cowsystem. We contacted Santini Foods and they have informed the customers that this is a food grade grease with no health or safety issues. Rizo Lopez Recall - As widely reported, Rizo Lopez continues to receive media attention regarding their recent product withdrawal stemming from Listeria concerns. We have been in contact with Tomas and the Rizo team to offer CMAB support and guidance. The withdrawal impacts (as of 2/14/24) 114 items in their portfolio with products ranging from hispanic cheeses and creams, ricotta, salad kits, enchiladas, dips, and yogurt. Retailers impacted include Albertsons, Safeway, HEB, Trader Joe’s, Costco, Whole Foods, Kroger, and Savemart companies.
