• Churn Foods – (BM) Churn Foods was discovered as one of the 2021semi-finalists in the CMAB Excelerator contest. They use existing CMAB partner processors to make their unique gourmet flavored butters. The claims they make on their products include hormone free, non-GMO, grass-fed, Keto friendly and gluten free. • Wheyward Spirit – (BM) – This is a truly unique premium alcohol product made from whey permeate, an item that is often disposed of. It starts with an upcycled item, utilizing the byproduct of cheese, then distilling it to make a super-premium spirit. Currently offered direct to consumers online, plans are in place to gain distribution with key liquor distributors and retailers.

2022 YTD Number of items with the Seal – Summary

We have added 36 new items bearing the Real California Milk Seal since November 2021, bringing our total to 3,057 items. This includes foodservice items as well as retail items. Many of these items are nationally and/or internationally distributed, helping to increase utilization of our processing facilities using 100% California Milk. In addition to the newly added items, there were 58 milk, butter and cream items rebranded from the former Dean Foods’ Dairy Pure brand back to the Alta Dena Brand, now owned and operated by DFA. All Alta Dena items carry the RCM Seal.
