2022 March Board Book

General Retail BD Updates: Bob, Mike, Katelyn, and Elizabeth are actively meeting with retailers across the country building our support for the coming year. With many key retailers still experiencing company-wide travel restrictions, virtual meetings will continue to be the majority of our interactions in the near term. Our 2020 semi-finalist Sach Foods has been making serious strides in distribution increases, with the CMAB Business Development team’s help. Most recently, Sach Foods received authorization and will begin rolling out to 200+ H-E-B stores in Texas starting in January. They have also made inroads in several more Whole Foods divisions, on their way to national status. Similarly, Los Altos debuted in 46 stores in H-E-B back in June 2021, expanding to ~90 stores during our Hispanic Heritage Month consumer promotion (supporting multiple brands), and today has reached 150-200 stores with their top 5 items. Growing Hispanic dairy, especially in markets outside of California, will continue to be a priority for CMAB. CMAB was able to successfully complete two sets of Costco Roadshows in two new divisions. We completed 7 roadshows in the Pacific Northwest division and 4 roadshows in the Los Angeles region with the help of our on-site qualified cheese professionals, engaging with Costco shoppers, sharing samples of up to four different types of cheeses each day, and spreading the word about wholesome cheese made with Real California Milk. While full results are still pending, preliminary results indicate continued momentum after a two-year pause due to covid-19. Both division buyers have expressed interest in looking at California line extensions as result. Innovation Plans are already underway for the 2022 Real California Milk Excelerator, but first we’d like to highlight the 2021 winner:
