CDIC hosts DMI Dairy Centers Directors Annual Meeting The California Dairy Innovation Center hosted DMI’s Annual Meeting of the Dairy Centers directors, an event designed to foster collaboration and synergies between the 6 national centers. DMI leadership representatives presented their 2023 planning imperatives during the program, visited the CalPoly pilot plant, creamery and met with staff, faculty and delegates of the CAFES Dean’s office.

Innovation Grants for Industry CDIC Steering Committee members met at Fresno State to review the applications received for funding, as part of the first phase of the Dairy Business Innovation Initiative/ Pacific Coast Coalition. Producers and processors recommended by the CDIC Steering Committee for the cash awards (up to $50,000) were contacted by Fresno State. The information will be shared and communicated upon approval of final contract agreements. CDIC is working with Fresno State to prepare announcements for the second round of grants, to become available 1Q 2023, and CDIC will seek to assist California producers and processors interested in applying.

Product, Process and Packaging Innovation Conference October 11-14, 2022 Shell Beach, California CDIC organized its first Innovation Conference, in collaboration with CalPoly San Luis Obispo, and with support from CDRF, DMI and the DBII/Pacific Coast Coalition.
