College Dairy Advocacy Program

This program has incorporated social media in order to stay relevant and effective in its purpose. Current advocates Kiara Gilardi and Robee Knoch have utilized their personal social media pages to promote Real California Milk.

The identification of three Cal Poly SLO students who will become the 2021 College Dairy Advocates is underway. Once confirmed, training will take place in January and the new team will undergo social media interactions, as well as, in person events once permissible.

Golden State Update

On September 10 th we held the second Golden State Update webinar where a market update was given by John Talbot. In addition, we discussed this year’s Accelerator Contest by inviting Venture Fuel Founder and event coordinator Fred Schonenberg to introduce the process and take questions. We also had Dylan Bailey from Ketchum talk about the CMAB Train the Trainers Program. Many of those who offered feedback said they enjoyed having guest speakers. There were 60 people who registered with 37 attending: 7 staff, 6 board members, 11 dairy farmers, 7 industry members, 4 others and 2 guest panelists.
