2024 Q2 Farmer Facebook Page Report

Membership During Q2, the California Dairy Farmers Facebook page grew from 776 to 777 followers. The page saw a total of 77 new membership requests, with 5 individuals deemed appropriate for membership on the page. Of the 26 new membership requests to the page one new member was approved. The 25 declined memberships were determined to be “bots” or individuals with little or no association to the California Dairy Industry. Post Engagement There were 24 posts during Q2, which is lower than the average of 57 posts quarterly over the past 23 quarters. There were 24 comments (up 71% from Q1) and 189 reactions (likes, shares) during the quarter, up 13% percent from the previous quarter.

The two posts with the highest engagement were:

1) A post on June 1 st from Melissa Lema, celebrating World Milk Day, which featured the Kamper children of Mt. Whitney Dairy.This post reached 425 users and had 45 interactions. 2) A post from Noel Rosa on April 8 th , looking for an employee to help lead Farm Tours. This post earned 15 interactions from users, and reached an audience of 404.
