A total of 104 in-store demonstrations were conducted at Dollars Mall, PX-Mart supermarket chain, A-Mart & Carrefour hypermarket chains this month to help push sales of Ging Yuan’s 226g “Cascade Dairy” cream cheese and Grand Dairy’s 250-g California retail-pack cheese shreds. Costco Taiwan plans to conduct up to six in-store demonstrations in July to promote their “Kirkland Signature” Vanilla ice cream product. According to Taiwan dairy importers, Costco Taiwan has also been experiencing lower foot traffic due to the impact of inflation. Consumers are becoming much more aware of the correlation between rising merchandise costs and their purchasing power and are more conservative with their spending. Collaboration with Carrefour Taiwan’s 67 hypermarket stores and A-Mart’s 15 hypermarket stores to conduct a two-week long “U.S. Festival” theme-based co-op promotion for Grand Dairy’s 250g California Mozzarella and Red Cheddar retail-pack cheese shreds kicked off on June 21st and run through July 11th. The second wave of DIY baking/cooking class collaboration with ABC Cooking Studio has been completed in June, with a “deluxe fried seafood platter” as its first course, a “vegetable rich quiche” as a side dish, and will end with a delicious cocoa pudding. This theme-based cooking class will feature Grand Dairy’s California Mozzarella cheese shreds as the main recipe ingredient. CMAB-Taiwan participated in the 2023 Taipei Int’l Food Show Food Taipei show from June 14~17 at Nangang International Exhibition Center, with exhibition of RCM dairy products sponsored by Sierra Nevada, Cheese Bits/Yummy Cheese, Pacific Cheese, Dosa, Rizo Lopez and Brothers Desserts. Due to Taiwan’s stringent food regulations, requirements for AMS sanitary certificate from each individual CA dairy processors, and time constraint relating to Taiwan FDA inspections, the total of three sample shipments’ related dairy import documents were submitted to Taiwan FDA for a permit of “Exemption from Import Inspection of Foods and Related Products”, in order to be cleared through customs in time for product showcase/display at CMAB’s show booth. CMAB-Taiwan received several product inquiries for Pacific Cheese’s retail-pack cheese items(shreds and slices), “Cheese Bits” snack cheese items, as well as Brothers Desserts ice cream products.
