Plastic-free Yogurt Containers: a project to test the feasibility of using of new plastic-free containers is in the early stage of development, in partnership with processors. CDIC’s role is to identify solutions providers in the packaging industry, support trials on a pre0competitive basis, and facilitate partnerships with processors.

Short-courses Q1 2023 : January 8-9, 2023 Coffee, Tea, Milk and Creamers - The Science of Milk and Art of Coffee
Chapman University, Orange, California This workshop introduced students to the science of roasting coffee; milk, and creamers fundamentals; and how to develop innovative coffee and tea milk based products. Experts shared tips on formulations for ready-to-drink aseptic and shelf-stable products and processing know how -- from Thai tea, Vietnamese coffee, and cappuccino martinis. The course was attended by 30 participants, with a satisfaction rating>95%.

January 18-21, 2023 Better Process Control School - for Dairy Processors
Organized by Chapman University, Food science Department, Orange, California This course applies to processors of aseptically packaged foods, including dairy milks and milk-based beverages and was attended by over 30 participants. Chapman University is approved to provide such training and is recognized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture – Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA-FSIS).
