Domestic Retail The first chart below is for TTL US and the second is California. On the left is latest 52 weeks, with the timeframe progressively shorter until the last column, which is the last 4 weeks to end 2021, through 12-26-21. Please note that included in the report is not only a comparison to 1 year ago, but also a comparison to 2 years ago (pre-COVID), stripping out COVID lock-down buying patterns.

On a 52 basis, vs. 2 years ago (pre-COVID) California continues to be on par with or outperform TTL US on all categories of dairy consumption except milk. On the more recent 12- and 4-week comparisons, we are closer to the national buying patterns, with pretty significant growth over 2019 in most categories. Butter, yogurt and cottage cheese are stand-out categories for CA versus the rest of the US.
