KINGS COUNTY DAIRY PRINCESS CROWNED Lauren Dutra of Hanford Selected as District 7 Dairy Ambassador
TRACY, Calif. – July 2, 2019 – Lauren Dutra was selected as the 2019 Dairy Princess for the
California Milk Advisory Board’s (CMAB) District 7. The crowning took place before a crowd
of 300 dairy industry members and their families and friends, on Friday, June 28, 2019 at the
Hanford Civic Auditorium in Hanford, Calif.
Retiring Dairy Princess Jolene Simas turned the title over to Lauren and wished her success as
she represents the California dairy industry throughout the coming year.
Lauren will represent District 7, which includes Kings County. As Dairy Princess, she will play
an important role on the CMAB’s Communications Services team in meeting community
relations objectives.
Lauren is the daughter of Brian and Donna Dutra of Hanford. She is a senior at Hanford High
School and plans to attend a four-year university following her graduation and WILL major in
agriculture business. Lauren is an active member of Grangeville 4-H and Hanford FFA. She
shows replacement heifers at the Kings County Fair and recently received her State FFA degree.
Lauren is also is a four year member of the varsity golf team at Hanford High School and
volunteered at the 2019 Western Classic Dairy Show and judging contest.
First Alternate, Morgan Spiro, is the daughter of Neal Spiro and Patricia Spiro of Hanford. She is
a recent graduate of Central Valley Christian High School and plans to attend the University of
