2019 December Board Book
Yogurt is still declining, and unfortunately California is showing the worst decline:
Other US Retail Highlights: • Kroger / Murray’s has requested a meeting with CMAB to discuss promotional plans and ways we can work together for next year. This has been a significant effort for several years and is exciting to see coming together. Mike Levy and Bob Constantino will both attend the meeting in December. • Costco Roadshows continue to progress well. We typically are able to feature 5-7 RCM brands over the course of a weekend, and 1-day sales are often equal to what normally sells in a week. The team is working on a plan next year to use these as a tool to increase and expand distribution. • During our Hispanic Heritage Month Promotion, we received over 15M impressions through our digital campaign and over 17K unique visitors to our website. Although still too early for sales results, we’re excited to hear these preliminary results. • Our ‘Savor the Season’ holiday promotion is in market November and December, strategically focusing on Harris Teeter within the Mid-Atlantic region. We are highlighting specialty cheese usage during the holiday entertaining season with this being our second year of support for this new relationship with the retailer. Tactics in market include: in-store signage with recipe content, couponing, an e-commerce offer, digital banners and social media. Real California Milk Accelerator At the time of this report, the CMAB and Venture Fuel teams held the last of our weekly meetings preparing for the final event, to be held on November 7th. We have nine solid finalists who are prepped and ready to go. You’ll hear more about the final event at the board meeting, but this has been a significant effort by the entire CMAB team, and our fantastic partner Venture Fuel. I have every expectation the final event will be spectacular.
