NUTRITION AND HEALTH Association of Dairy Intake with Protection Against Gastrointestinal Inflammation BACKGROUND: “A2” milk studies create the false impression that traditional dairy is bad for gut health. However, preliminary data suggests that dairy intake does not cause gastrointestinal inflammation and may instead be protective of gut health. OBJECTIVE: Determine whether dairy intake is associated with protection against gastrointestinal inflammation. INDUSTRY BENEFIT: The proposed study will provide evidence of the true relationship between dairy intake and gut health in California consumers.
