2018 December Board Book

Who are we?

CDRF is a non-profit 501(c)(3) public research management corporation.

CDRF’s mission is to lead and deliver the most relevant research and science-based education programs, while collaborating and partnering with other dairy industry organizations to maximally support an innovative and sustainable California dairy industry. CDRF is primarily funded by the California Milk Advisory Board (CMAB) which receives check-off dollars from California dairy producers. The organization also seeks project co-funding from research institutions, government agencies and private industry to maximize investment opportunities.

How do we intend to allocate our funds?

CDRF’s target project fund allocation will be reorganized around the five Areas of Focus within the two Program Areas. The target allocation for Operational Optimization will represent 80% of the project expenditures, while Market Continuity will be targeted at 20%. The number one priority will become the support of best practice Environmental Management with a target of 60% of annual project expenditure. CDRF will reduce its funding on Human Health and Nutrition to 13%, relying on national and international institutions to lead core research and development in this area.
